Management

When vacancies arise in a managerial position, a temporary solution would be to bring in a manager from outside to lead the business until a new manager takes over. Missions in management may also be going into an organization that are facing changes and work with management to review the current organization looks and using this to develop a plan for change. The need for changes may be driven by both internal as well as external reasons.

Coaching

Within coaching the assignment may for example be to act as a discussion partner for a manager who is either new to the role or who simply need ideas from external expertize on how the business can be developed or when faced with new challenges or upcoming changes. These changes may be external market changes creating pressure on the organization or driven by internal challenges. These assignments are generally for a longer time where the work may be based on regular meetings or workshops. The scope of these assignments are entirely depending on how complex the issues are, or if the assignment includes both ideas as well as their implementation.

Sales towards the public sector

Sales to the public sector adds specific requirements on the organization, product offering and how the sales teams are organized compared to sales towards the private sector. If you have not previously worked towards the public sector or with public tenders, some parts may seem bureaucratic, cumbersome and sometimes very time consuming. It clearly differs from sales to the private sector but to have the public sector as a customer also brings several benefits. So even if it sometimes might require some more groundwork it will often pay-off with long-term contracts that strengthen both parties. Much focus is generally on the price but despite this th public sector is a part which is financially stable and with good solvency which are other factors why it’s worth the efforts.

Procurement processes

Managing procurement and how to control the work of responding to specifications and requirements is an area that requires a lot of work and knowledge from many different persons. To achieve success in procurement requires a dedicated and experienced team, perseverance and last nut not least that you have a structured approach with clear roles on how to organize your work. Both in terms of the tasks before the contract is advertised as well as how to respond to the offer after once it has been announced. Many years of experience and hundreds of submitted tenders have provided a detailed picture of how the work should be structured to maximize success. To give some brief examples of how an assignment in procurement might look like following tasks can be mentioned • Together with existing procurement team go through how the current process works and analyze how tasks can be improved or optimized • Together with the responsible team step in and assist in a specific existing procurement • Review and revise the competencies that are available and needed to develop a dedicated procurement team and coach or train existing staff in the procurement process. The above can be done both as a work which is part of a team as a resource or as a number of workshops, training courses where you go through the process step by step. Organizational changes 

The world around us is constantly changing and the companies that do not adapt their organization through new market demands requirements will inevitably become distanced from competitors. Adapting sales and support organization based on customer requirements is a task that requires that you have a number of facts available. Everything from how the market evolves, a clear competitor analysis, existing organizational strengths and weaknesses and last but not least well defined organization or company goals. Defining the vision and goal where you want to be in the future. Within this area external resources are often needed to analyze organization and process with an objective perspective.  Assignments in this area can provide specific services within a defined part or a more general overview of resources. An assignment may include analyze with defined recommendations and activities as well as assisting in the implementation.

After a Master of Science degree in Physics at KTH – Royal Technical University the first appointment was at Siemens-Elema Healthcare department with development of radiology systems. Then followed appointments at several medical technology companies such as Elekta, ProAct, GE Healthcare and Medtronic. These appointments in different positions have during the 23 years founded an extensive experience in medical technology. From product development, software support, project management, sales, procurement, and for the last  10 years as CEO adding components such as, quality, organizational development, agent & distributor management, leadership, financial management and change management in the organization.
